Layaway
I am happy to offer you the chance to purchase your dream bags using the Essex Fashion House Layaway service. After paying an initial deposit, your bag is reserved for you and you have 30 days to pay the remaining amount. When full payment has been made, your new bag is shipped to you. There is no interest or extra fees for using this service. Please see the full terms and instructions below.
How it works:
- You let me know which bag you would like to purchase using the layaway service and provide us with the details outlined below.
- You will receive invoices via email for your payments – it will include a button that will take you to the payment page on the Essex Fashion House website.
- When your initial payment is made, your bag is reserved for you.
- Once your final payment has been made, your bag is shipped to you.
If you wish to purchase a bag using the layaway option, please read the terms below carefully and then send an email to info@essexfashionhouse.com or use the contact form here. Please put “Layaway Request” in the topic or at the top of your message and include the following information:
- Which item you would like to purchase using the layaway service. Please include a link to the item on the Essex Fashion House website.
- What amount you would like your initial payment to be (minimum 20% of the full price).
- How many instalments you would like to make your full payment in. (Optional)
- On which dates you would like to be sent your invoices for payments – or alternatively let me know that you intend to request your next invoices at your convenience.
- Your full name
- Your shipping address
- Your billing address (If different to shipping address)
- Your email address
- Your phone number (Optional – will only be used for the courier and shipping updates)
Terms of the Essex Fashion House Layaway Service:

Deposit: 20% (non-refundable)
- A deposit of 20% of the full price of the item and shipping is required as initial payment to reserve the item. This is non-refundable. If you wish to make a bigger initial payment than 20%, please include this information when you first get in touch. The non-refundable deposit remains at 20% of the full price no matter how large your initial payment is. These 20% are counted against the full amount, meaning after paying the deposit, your remaining payments will be the last 80% of the full price – so the full price of the item and shipping is the exact price you will pay.
- Your item is reserved when the initial payment is received.
- The deposit is non-refundable and will not be refunded if you cancel your order or fail to pay the full amount within the 30 day time frame. Your deposit will not be refunded if you change your mind to a different item. This will be considered a cancellation of the initial order, your deposit for that item will be lost, and a new order must be made for the new item. Your deposit will also not be refunded if you return the item after receiving it.

Length of plan: 30 days.
- You have 30 days from the date of the initial payment to pay the full amount of the order. If full payment isn’t received within 30 days, the order will be cancelled and payments you have made (excluding deposit) will be refunded.
- You can choose to pay your full outstanding amount at any time during these 30 days. Your item will be shipped as soon as the full order amount is received.

Payment dates: Up to you
- You decide when you would like to make your payments. You can either inform me of specific dates you would like to have your invoices sent to you or you can request your next invoice at your convenience. Please note, that full payment must still be received within the 30 day period from the day of the initial payment regardless of when you decide to request your invoices and make your remaining payments. If there is an outstanding amount on the 30th day, an invoice will be sent for this amount and you will have 24 hours to complete your final payment or your order will be cancelled.
- Your item is shipped when the final payment is received and the order amount is paid in full.

- You can pay using any of the payment methods listed on the Essex Fashion House website. You will be able to choose your payment method when you click to pay your invoices. You will be checking out and making your payment securely through the website.

Notes:
- Please note that if you are paying in a different currency than GBP, the currency conversion may change from one payment to the other and the numbers you see may change slightly due to this.
- You can only use the Layaway service on one item at the time. Full payment must be made on your first item before you can request purchasing another item using the service.
- Some items are excluded from the Layaway service.
